No soup for lincoln

Is there true religious freedom if a U.S. president has to choose a religion?

"A recent Gallup poll reveals that Americans are much more likely to elect a black man or a woman president than a Mormon or an old man. More interestingly, they'd rather be governed by a homosexual than an atheist."

Black President More Likely than Mormon or Atheist

Given the rhetoric on television and seeing how homosexuality and gay marriage are used as wedge issues, I was a little surprised by this result. Since all presidents in my recent memory have been Christian (do correct me if I am wrong), I thought I would share a quote:

"The Bible is not my book nor Christianity my profession. I could never give assent to the long, complicated statements of Christian dogma." -- Abraham Lincoln

Yeah, he's unqualified for sure ... or something.
